Well what can I say about South Dakota winters? Last year at this time we could barely see out a first story window due to snow accumulation and this year only a couple inches here and there. The local wildlife seems to have gotten a well-deserved reprieve. Our fall pheasant numbers last season took a dip due to the brutal winter and cold wet spring. Even then we still experienced great shooting and saw an abundance of hens, which ought to give us a boost this spring coming into breeding season. More...
